Egypt is keen on enhancing partnership with the African continent through several mechanisms, including the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development which has been backed by political leadership since it was launched in 2014, a Foreign Ministry official said on Friday.
Addressing the graduation ceremony of the 17th batch of Senghor University in Alexandria, director of the Foreign Ministry’s Francophonie affairs Khaled Aref said the scholarships provided by the agency to African students run in tandem with State efforts to enhance relations with African countries in all domains, including educational ones.
He lauded preventive measures taken by the university during Covid 19 pandemic to guarantee that study is not suspended.
Senghor University is a private university located in El Manshiyya district of Alexandria. As many as 3,000 students graduated from the university since it was hosted by Egypt in 1990 till now.
