It’s a hotly contested affair as the Africa Rally Championship heads to Tanzania

The fight for the 2021 Africa Rally Championship heads to Tanzania later this month in what will be a hotly contested fight for championship points.

Over 30 crews have lined up to resume the championship slated for  23-25 July in  Ubena Estates, Tanzania.

Rally Tanzania is the third round of the extended ARC.

Big names from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa will be on search for the Oryx Energies Rally victory.

However, focus will mostly be on the ARC category. Only 13 crews are registered to score from the event.

Both South Africa’s Guy Botteril and Kenya’s Carl Tundo share the leaderboard with 30 points after two events and the Tanzania round will certainly provide a new championship leader.

Uganda’s Jas Mangat who is giving another attempt to ARC chase is currently nine points behind leaders.

Karan Patel, Yasin Nasser, Duncan Mubiru, Aakif Virani, Gurpal Sandhu are also in the fray.

Kenya’s FIA rally stars Hamza Anwar, McRae Kimathi and Jeremy Wahome will be debuting in Tanzania giving their Ford Fiestas a second outing after last month’s World Rally event; the Kenya Safari rally.

Oryx Energies rally Tanzania will have ten stages covering a total competitive distance of 201.6kilometres.
