Zuma unrest: Food, clothes and liquor looted as SANDF deployed to assist police


eThekwini was thrown into chaos on Monday as looters and other criminals took over the main parts of the city.

Lawlessness and looting continued in parts of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.

The unrest was driven by sympathisers of former president Jacob Zuma, calling for his release from the Estcourt Correctional Centre.

Zuma was sentenced to 15 months in jail by the Constitutional Court for failing to appear before the Zondo Commission.
