Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana has taken to social media to show off his latest tattoo.
The former Masandawana captain joined the Brazilians in 2011 and left the multiple champions at the end of last season.
Kekana won numerous titles during his career and is one of the most decorated footballers in Mzansi.
He won the league trophy twice with SuperSport United and six times with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Hlompho Kekana was also part of Mamelodi Sundowns’ 2016 CAF Champions League-winning squad.
Kekana’s new ink consists of a picture of the league trophy with the old name of the tournament – Absa Premiership – added. A massive ‘8’ (Kekana’s jersey number) also features.
The 36-year-old’s departure from Mamelodi Sundowns – as a player at least – marked the end of an incredible era in football in South Africa.
He played a staggering 339 matches in total for Mamelodi Sundowns in all competitions as well as 44 for SuperSport United, 37 for Black Leopards and 33 for Bloemfontein Celtic as they were known at the time.
He also has 21 Bafana Bafana caps to his name.
