Blood Brothers: Shock as NPA withdraws charges against alleged tobacco assassin

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has thrown alleged tobacco industry assassin Jonathan Schoeman a lifeline.

Just weeks before Schoeman was to be indicted, the NPA unceremoniously withdrew charges relating to a hit on Gold Leaf Tobacco Company boss Simon Rudland, and the bloody slaying of Johannesburg businessman Shuaib Dowjee.
